1. Structure and composition
Flange soft seal butterfly valve is mainly composed of the following components:
- Valve body: usually made of cast iron, cast steel, stainless steel, etc., with flanges at both ends for connection with pipelines.
- Butterfly disc: disc-shaped structure, used to control the flow of medium, mostly made of stainless steel or carbon steel.
- Valve stem: connects the butterfly plate and the drive device, transmits torque to realize the rotation of the butterfly plate.

- Drive device: can be manual (handle, worm gear), pneumatic, electric or hydraulic drive.

2. Working principle
Flange soft seal butterfly valve drives the butterfly plate to rotate by rotating the valve stem to realize the opening and closing of the valve:
- Open state: the butterfly plate rotates to be parallel to the pipeline axis, and the medium can pass smoothly.
- Closed state: The butterfly plate rotates to be perpendicular to the pipeline axis, and the sealing ring fits tightly with the valve seat to prevent the flow of the medium.

3. Features
- Good sealing performance: The soft sealing ring is used, and the sealing effect is excellent, which is suitable for low-pressure, normal temperature or medium temperature media.
- Compact structure: Small size, light weight, easy installation.
- Flexible operation: The butterfly plate can be turned on and off by rotating 90 degrees, which is fast and labor-saving.
- Flow regulation: The medium flow can be adjusted by partially opening the butterfly plate.
