Product Description

The foot valve is a one-way valve installed at the bottom of the pump suction pipe. It is mainly used to prevent the liquid from flowing back when the pump stops working, keep the suction pipe full of liquid, and avoid the pump's "idle" or "air binding" phenomenon. 1. Structure and working principle
- Structure:
- Valve body: usually made of cast iron, stainless steel or plastic, corrosion-resistant.
- Valve disc (valve disc): automatic opening and closing by spring or deadweight.
- Filter: prevent impurities from entering the pipeline and protect the pump body.
- Working principle:
- When the pump starts: the valve disc opens under negative pressure, and the liquid is sucked into the pipeline.
- When the pump stops: the valve disc closes due to deadweight or spring force, preventing the liquid from flowing back and maintaining the suction pipe full of liquid.
